Install from the Shopify App Store
Callify opens inside your admin, next to orders and customers. No separate login, and no card to enter: it bills through Shopify.
Callify gives your store a number customers can call and text, and rings it through to the phone you already carry. Set it up inside the admin in about two minutes. Customers see the store number, never yours.
From $9 a month, billed with your Shopify invoice. US and Canada.

How a call reaches you
So you always know why your phone rang, or why it didn’t. No desk phone, no app left open, no number to memorise.
They dial the toll-free number on your site or packing slip. It costs them nothing, from anywhere in the US or Canada.
Closed, or a holiday? The caller goes straight to voicemail and your phone stays quiet. Open? The call carries on.
“Call for Northside Coffee, your Shopify store, from (415) 555-0142. Press any key to accept, or hang up to send it to voicemail.”
Only you hear that. The caller hears ordinary ringing.
Recorded and written out, if recording is on (Starter and Growth). Press nothing and the caller leaves a voicemail instead. Either way, it lands in your admin.
Screening is also what keeps your carrier’s voicemail from grabbing store calls. A recorded greeting can’t press a key, so an unanswered call ends up in your Callify inbox, written out, instead of on your personal phone.
What you get
Calls, texts and voicemail sit alongside your orders and customers. There’s no separate dashboard to log into and no second phone to carry.
A US or Canadian number that’s free for customers to call. Search by digits, or by letters that spell something on a keypad.
Forward to your mobile, a landline or a VoIP line. There’s no second handset to buy and no app to keep open.
Hear who’s calling and press a key to accept. Store calls never end up in your personal voicemail by mistake.
Every message is written out as text. Skim ten voicemails in the time it takes to listen to one.
Record the calls you answer, with a transcript split by speaker that you can click to jump through the audio. Callers hear a recording announcement first. On Starter and Growth.
Customers text the same number. You reply from a thread in your admin, and can see whether each message was delivered.
Set a weekly schedule in your store’s timezone, with exceptions for dates you’re closed. Outside it, callers go to voicemail instead of ringing you at 4am.
When a caller matches one of your customers, their name, order count and lifetime spend sit next to the call or text thread. Turn it on once in settings.
Every call, text and voicemail is logged with who, roughly where from, and how long. Export your calls and voicemails as a CSV.

Questions
More in the help center, which covers setup, calls, voicemail, texting and billing. Or email support@callify.co; a person reads it.
No, it routes to it. Calls to your store number ring whichever phone you nominate: your mobile, a landline or a VoIP line. If that phone is off or out of signal, the caller goes to voicemail.
Not yet. Callify handles calls to your store number; you place calls from your own phone as you always have. Texting works in both directions.
The United States and Canada, for both your store number and the phone it forwards to. A US toll-free number is still free to call from Canada, and vice versa.
US and Canadian carriers block business texts from unregistered toll-free numbers. Callify walks you through a one-time form with your business details; the carriers usually decide within a few business days. Calls, voicemail and receiving texts all work in the meantime.
Your voicemail greeting, then a beep. Record your own by phone or upload an audio file; until then, a synthesised voice reads a default. The message they leave is written out for you.
Callify plays “This call may be recorded for quality and training purposes” to the caller before your phone rings, which is what most jurisdictions require. Turn recording off and the announcement stops too. Rules vary by state and province, so check your own obligations if you record at scale.
Through your Shopify invoice, every 30 days. There’s no card to enter and no separate account. Usage beyond your plan is billed per minute or per text, up to a spending cap you control. At the cap your line pauses: callers are asked to try again later and texts aren’t sent, until your next billing period or until you raise the cap. Set it to $0 and you’ll never pay more than your plan.
The subscription stops and your line stops taking calls and texts straight away. Your number and data are kept for 48 hours in case you reinstall, then the number is released and your data is erased. Export your call history first if you want to keep it.
Install Callify, pick a number, say which phone should ring. Two minutes from install to a live line.
